The Takht. Carved for Comfort and Ceremony.

The takht — the Rajasthani ceremonial bench — is one of the defining forms of Indian furniture. This version brings all its traditional elements: a wide carved scrolling acanthus vine and floral relief frieze along the back panel, a row of turned spindle balusters below it, matching carved vine relief panels on both arms, and the same dense scrolling vine frieze wrapping the full front apron. Four corner posts rise to carved ball finials. The flat seat platform sits at a generous 75 cm depth. All in antique white grey distressed finish — warm wood grain visible through the paint in carved recesses.

Use it as a living room statement sofa, a bedroom bench at the foot of the bed, a hallway seat, or an indoor-outdoor daybed with cushions.
