Rajasthani Metal-Clad Blanket Box Chest – Embossed Narrative Panels & Mango Wood Lid

A Chest That Tells a Story.

The body of this Rajasthani blanket box is completely clad in teal-green patinated metal sheeting, pressed into a dense all-over grid of square embossed panels. Each panel carries a different low-relief figurative scene: horses with riders, deer, elephants, geometric motifs — a narrative frieze that wraps the entire front, sides and back without repeating. The natural dark walnut mango wood lid sits flat on top, secured by a heavy wrought iron lock hasp and ring pull at the front centre. Four solid square block feet raise it off the floor. Use it as a coffee table, a bedroom chest, a blanket box, or a storage piece that doubles as a statement object.
