Hand-Painted Rajasthani Four-Panel Room Divider Screen – Bani Thani Figurative
A Room Within a Room.
This four-panel folding screen is a complete work of Rajasthani hand-painting. Each panel is divided into a dense grid of individually framed rectangular and square sections — and each section contains its own hand-painted scene: Bani Thani-style court ladies in ornate dress, peacocks in full display, flowering banana and lotus trees, dahlia and floral bouquets, and decorative motifs. The panels are topped with arched carved crests. Every surface is painted in the rich palette of Rajasthan: deep red ground, with figures and florals in green, gold, cream and ochre.
Use it as a room divider, a bedroom partition, a decorative screen, or a dramatic standing art installation.
