A hand-painted mango wood keepsake and jewellery box in a long low rectangular form, sitting on four small bracket feet, with gold painted edges and border banding all around. The ground is jet black on both the lid and body. The lid carries an open, airy central floral cluster — white, pink and orange blooms with lush dark green leaf foliage, with more black ground showing through than our denser medallion companion box, giving it a lighter, more scattered and romantic feel. White scrolling vine details weave between the blooms. The front and side body panels carry large individual scattered pink and mauve flowers with green leaves — bolder and more generous than the vine borders on the garland and medallion boxes. The most open and airy of the three designs in this keepsake box collection.
