Hand-Painted Bajot Low Table – Red Rajasthani Chowki
The Bajot. A Floor-Level Tradition.
The Bajot — also called Chowki — is a low wooden platform table used throughout Rajasthan and Gujarat for everything from daily rituals to festive arrangements. This deep red version carries an elaborate painted top: a central square panel with a yellow and pink floral medallion, surrounded by a wide border band of dense painted scrolling floral motifs in gold and dark red. A continuous beaded dot row runs along the apron. Four turned baluster legs in deep red complete the piece.
Use it as a side table, a plant stand, a display plinth, or in a cluster of different sizes as a floor-level arrangement.
