Hand-Carved Whitewash Mughal Arch Console Table

The Arch in Whitewash. Architecture in Relief.

This is the whitewashed counterpart to the natural wood Mughal arch console — same dramatic open arch structure, but with a finish that transforms it entirely. The wide scalloped Mughal arch is more elaborate here: deeper cusps, more pronounced scalloping, and columns so densely covered in carved floral and vine relief that the wood beneath is almost entirely consumed by the detail. The whole base is finished in a layered whitewash that allows the warm mango wood grain to show through wherever the carving rises.

The natural honey-toned mango wood top sits above the whitewashed base as a warm, grounding contrast. Use it in an entryway, behind a sofa, or as a statement console in any room that can hold something this considered.
