Hand-Carved Whitewash Fretwork Console Table
Where Light Plays Through the Carving
Look closely at the apron of this console table and you’ll find a world of detail: geometric hexagonal lattice interwoven with scrolling floral vines, carved so deeply the light passes through in places. A scalloped arch runs along the lower rail. The legs are covered in diamond-pattern relief from top to foot. All of it finished in a layered whitewash that lets the mango wood grain show through — pale, serene, and quietly extraordinary.
The top is left in its natural warm honey tone, a deliberate contrast that grounds the piece and keeps it from feeling too precious. Use it in an entryway, behind a sofa, in a dining room, or anywhere a long, low surface with serious presence is needed.
