Hand-Carved Jali & Mughal Gold Four-Panel Room Divider Screen
Open Lattice Meets Painted Gold.
This four-panel screen combines two distinct crafts within a single frame. The open sections are filled with dense diamond and quatrefoil jali lattice cutwork — air and light pass freely through. The closed sections are dark lacquer-painted panels carrying gold Mughal figurative scenes: elephants with riders, deer, birds in trees, and Mughal court figures rendered in fine gold line work on a near-black ground. Each panel is topped with an ornate carved and painted crest. The outer frame and posts are in deep burgundy red.
Use it as a room divider, partition, decorative screen, or a dramatic standing statement piece.
