Hand-Carved Green Moroccan Jharokha Window Mirror – Star Jali Shutters
The Jharokha. A Window That Stays.
This is a reclaimed-style Moroccan jharokha window frame repurposed as a wall mirror. It has the full architecture of the original: a carved floral leaf vine border running all four edges of the outer frame; a Mughal pointed arch carved in relief above the shutter pair; two shutters with dense all-over star and floral geometric jali carved pattern filling the full panel; a carved lower apron panel with the same star floral geometric repeat; and original-style brass bolt hardware with black knob handles. Open the shutters and a mirror sits within. Closed, it is a fully carved decorative wall panel. Finished in deep forest green antique distressed paint — warm wood grain showing through in the carved recesses.
