The chowki is the traditional Indian low platform table — designed for floor-level sitting, for gathering around, for placing things close to the ground. This version balances two finishes: a large round natural dark walnut mango wood top, and a whitewash distressed carved base. The apron runs the full circumference with a repeating geometric and floral relief frieze. Four chunky square legs with carved bracket feet anchor the base. Low, round, grounded — it works as a coffee table with floor cushions, a centrepiece in a meditation or yoga space, or a low display platform.

• Dust carved base with a soft dry brush
• Apply a light furniture wax to the base periodically to preserve the whitewash finish
