Hand-Carved Antique White Mughal Arch Wall Mirror – Jharokha Frame
The Jharokha. Framed in Stone, Translated in Wood.
The Jharokha — the overhanging balcony window of Rajasthani havelis — gives this mirror its form. The inner arch is multi-lobed, its spandrels filled with deeply carved scrolling floral and leaf motifs. The outer rectangular frame is built up in multiple stepped layers, each edge carved with a continuous beaded rope or small floral border detail. The mirror glass sits within the arch. The entire frame is finished in antique white distressed paint — warm wood grain visible through the finish in the carved recesses.
Hang it as a full entryway mirror, a bedroom statement piece, or a feature wall accent.
